01Choosing A Method

Five ways to move cargo out of China.

Transit times below are what we actually see across our China shipping services, measured from the day cargo leaves the China port. They are not carrier marketing figures, and they are the same numbers we plan our global shipping services around.

Method
Typical transit
Cost
Best for
Sea freight
Several weeks
$
Large volume and bulk cargo where the deadline is flexible.
Express
3 – 7 days
$$$$
Small, urgent, high-value parcels. The fastest and the dearest.
Air freight
About 18 days
$$$
Medium shipments that need to beat sea freight without express pricing.
Truck
Regional
$$
Southeast Asia routes, and port-to-warehouse or port-to-Amazon legs.
Rail freight
50 – 70 days
$$
China to Europe, when sea is not available and cost still matters.
02Shipping Solutions

What each method is actually like to use.

The detail that decides your landed cost: how each one is charged, which carriers run it, and where it tends to disappoint people. Our China logistics services cover all five, so the choice is made on merit rather than on what we happen to offer.

01

Sea shipping

Sea freight shipping is the cheapest way to move goods out of China, and the slowest. Carriers on this lane are typically Matson, EXX and similar operators.

Watch how it is charged. Some sea freight is priced per CBM and some per kilogram, and which one applies depends on whether the dimensional weight of your cargo exceeds its actual weight. Light bulky goods get billed on volume, which surprises people.

02

Express shipping

The fast route, and the most expensive one. Handled by FedEx, DHL, UPS and TNT, with delivery usually 3 to 7 days after cargo leaves the China port.

Worth it for samples, replacement parts, and any shipment where being two weeks late costs more than the freight bill.

03

Air freight

Air freight shipping is slower than express and faster than sea. In practice it runs to about 18 days door to door.

The middle option. If that timeframe and the cost both work for your order, air freight is usually the sensible compromise for medium-sized shipments.

04

Truck shipping

Used heavily for cargo moving into Southeast Asia — clients in Cambodia and Thailand, for example.

It also does the last leg in the USA, carrying cargo from the port to your warehouse or to Amazon. Most sea shipments finish their journey on a truck.

05

Rail freight

Rail freight shipping is the slowest method we offer. It is mainly used for cargo heading to Europe, where the China–Europe rail network is well established.

From experience, plan for 50 to 70 days. Choose it when the route matters more than the calendar.

03Shippers We Work With

We book through the carriers you already know.

Years of volume on these lanes means we hold real accounts rather than reselling somebody else’s. As your shipping agent we look at size, weight and urgency, then pick the carrier that suits the shipment instead of the one paying commission.

Shipping carriers we work with: Amazon Logistics, Matson, CMA CGM, SF Express, FedEx, ZIM, DPD, UPS, TNT and DHL

04Why Choose Us

Four reasons importers keep their freight with us.

Competitive, transparent pricing

We pass on direct carrier rates and do not add a hidden margin to your freight. The quote you see is the rate we were given, which is the same principle we apply to product pricing.

Dangerous and restricted goods

Sensitive products need the right channel and the right paperwork. We handle complex shipments, including restricted and special goods, through compliant routes rather than hoping they are not inspected.

Clear compensation policy

Cargo does occasionally go missing or arrive late. We state up front what happens when it does, so accountability is agreed before the shipment moves rather than argued about afterwards.

Consolidation to cut cost

We combine shipments from several clients into one, and we can consolidate several of your own orders in our warehouse. Both reduce the freight bill, which matters most if you ship frequently in small quantities.

05Being Straight With You

Three things freight quotes never tell you.

Transit time is not delivery time

Every figure on this page is measured from the China port. Customs clearance at the other end and the final truck leg are on top of it.

Volumetric weight decides the bill

Light bulky cargo is charged on the space it occupies, not what it weighs. Send us dimensions as well as weight or the quote will be wrong.

Peak season changes everything

Rates and transit times before Chinese New Year and in Q4 do not resemble the rest of the year. Book early or budget for the difference.

06FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

What is the best option for shipping from China?

It depends on shipment size and urgency. Sea freight is the economical choice for volume, air freight is faster at a middling cost, and express shipping China is the answer when the delivery date matters more than the price. Send us the weight, dimensions and your deadline and we will tell you which one we would use.

What is freight forwarding China?

Freight forwarding China means managing the shipment end to end: booking space with the carrier, preparing the export documentation, handling customs procedure and product classification, and coordinating delivery at the destination. The forwarder does not own the ship or the plane, it arranges and controls the movement.

How long does shipping from China to USA take?

Express is normally 3 to 7 days after cargo leaves the port. Air freight runs to around 18 days. Sea freight takes several weeks depending on the lane and the port pair. Add customs clearance and the final truck leg to all three.

Do you provide international shipping China services?

Yes. We arrange sea, air, express, rail and truck freight, plus cargo handling, documentation and consolidation, to the USA and other global destinations.

Can you handle large cargo shipments?

Yes. We manage both small parcels and large scale cargo shipping China, with the logistics plan built around what the cargo actually needs rather than a standard package.

Can you ship goods you did not source for us?

Yes. Freight is available on its own. If you already have a supplier and only need someone in China to inspect, consolidate and ship, that is covered by our Add On Services.

Tell us the weight, the dimensions, the destination and the date you need it there. We will come back with the method we would use and what it costs, including the parts most quotes leave out.
